The beautiful thing about this country is everyone can make it if they try. When it all comes down to it, the person that works hard and can produce is going to beat out the other candidates. Failing is the outcome of trying new things. But, you cannot let that stop you. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and drive on!

I wanted people to understand that I am not better than they are, nor do I have any special or secret skills, etc. ANYONE can do this. I think the one biggest reason people don't succeed (even if they don't admit it) is a level of commitment. For example, as you stated, you sent out actual letters looking to introduce yourself. Above and beyond what most will do. And further, you didn't stop with one copywriting job. You are proactive. Committed. For years, I was a TV junkie (no joke). When I discovered the internet, TV became insignificant to me. I made a decision to keep TV as nothing more than mild entertainment...where it should be. Also, I believe people are afraid to fail.
