GO VOTE!

Just got back from my local polling place, and I was surprised to see hardly anyone there. According to the “Media” there have been reports of people waiting in line for hours. So, I was expecting to have to stand in line to vote. My wife & I were out in about 10 minutes

I’ve voted in every presidential primary & election since I’ve been old enough to vote… so, I’m familiar with what the polling place looks like on election day. I know I’m repeating myself here, but I was surprised to get through so fast.

Some people will get through fast, some will have to stand in line for short period of time and some will stand in line for hours. But, each will get to make their voice count. We are so fortunate to get the chance to pick our leaders. Many people through out history were never given this privilege. In fact, many people through out the world don’t get this opportunity even now.

My advice is to ignore the media, the polls & get down to your polling place today. The past two elections have proven that no matter what the pundits say… it’s not a fore gone conclusion. Remember, the presidential polls were wrong in 2000 & 2004. This is a very important election, and now is the perfect time to get down there and make your voice known.

There has been a lot of complaining about how the way things have been run the last few years… Well, get down there and make your opinion count. I don’t care what your politics are, or who your party is.. this is the time to take part in this awesome process.

Go VOTE TODAY!

And if you are too lazy to get down to your local polling place to vote, then stop BITCHING!

  1. I got a mail-in ballot this year. I turned it in yesterday. If there are lines, I won’t have to deal with them.

We had 46 items on which to vote where I live in Colorado. The state pamphlet was 144 pages long… and the county pamphlet was 30 pages long.

It took me more than 3 hours to finish my ballot. I’d hate to be voting in a voting booth. It would take you at least 5 minutes — and maybe as much as 10 minutes — just to fill in all 46 bubbles!

If anybody goes in to vote WITHOUT knowing the issues beforehand, they’re going to be in trouble. They could easily be in the voting booth for an hour or two just sorting everything out.
