100 Articles In 100 Days Marathon
A couple of weeks ago I heard Jeff Herring mention an article marketing challenged called “100 Articles in 100 Days”. One of his students/mentees took up a personal challenge in 2007. Her name is Connie Green, and she didn’t complete the challenge in 100 days, she did it in 78!
You can read about Connie’s challenge here…

I thought it was pretty cool she wrote 100 articles so fast. For a brief few minutes I toyed with the idea of taking up the challenge myself… but it scared the crap out of me. So, I pushed it out of my mind & went about my business.
The problem…
This idea wouldn’t go away. I kept thinking about writing 100 articles in a 100 days, but I kept putting it off. Finally I realized the only way make myself do this me was to make a public announcement. So, where was the most public to announce my challenge? That’s right… Twitter!
OK, I went over to Twitter. Type it in, closed my eyes, held my breath & hit enter…
I was shocked to see a reply from Jeff Herring telling me it was very doable.
Now I did it… there was no turning back. I grabbed the hashtags #HAHD so others could follow & join. Then replied to Jeff that it was on…
At the same time Jeff was talking to Fleicia Slattery about her article marketing & she tweeted she was going to do a 100 articles in a 100 days like Connie Green did.
While the 3 of us were tweeting about doing this challenge, it suddenly exploded! People were joining the challenge on Twitter left & right… this was going viral. It was exciting to see so many people fired up about this challenge. It made my head spin.
That was Saturday March 21st & by Monday the 23rd I was on a kick off Teleseminar with Jeff Herring & Felicia Slattery telling how this all came together.
As of Today over 425 members have joined us on our 100 articles in 100 days marathon challenge.

Hey Keith, All I can say is Good Luck! When my finger was hovering over that enter button on Twitter I would of pushed my chair back and stepped away from the computer. So I guess I should say at least have fun with it. jj

I’ve done 250 articles in 250 days at Politics 2000. So 100 in 100 is very doable. Good luck to you.

Hmm, I don’t really see the big deal about this. I’ve wrote an article every day last year and so far have done the same for this year.
National Blog Posting Month, which has been around for a long time, already has over 11,000 members, many have done this for more than four months in a row.

I’m curious… how’s it going? Are you keeping up with one post per day?

Hey,
Thanks for asking. Yes, I’m keeping up with my 100 articles in 100 days. My 2 biggest hang-ups are waiting for articles to get approved, and waiting to get upgraded to the next author level.
I’m not yet a Platinum level member at Ezine Articles. Should get this soon… hopefully.

Hey Keith, first of all I want to say Good Luck. Which article directories do you use? I noticed you mentioned ezine articles, any other good ones? Are you getting decent traffic from your articles?

Keith,
Thanks for acknowledging me for writing 100 articles in less than 100 days back in 2007. I was a part of the Ning site, but have since been banned. It must be a glitch in the system. Chris Knight has said he will include me in the challenge this time anyway, and I’m on target to again write 100 in less than 100 days. I even purchased the domain back then, http://www.100Articlesin100Days.com, which I have forwarded to my blog
Good luck to you.

Connie,
You were the inspiration for this challenge. It’s also cool to see what article marketing has done for you since you first finished your personal 100 article in 100 days back in 2007.
Bummer about the ning problem… hope it gets worked out.
Looking forward to crossing the finishing line together!

Keith – this sounds exhausting just thinking about! I think it’s a great incentive to regular post blog articles. I try and do two blog articles twice a week and more if I’m particular inspired. Keep up the good work!
